Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the purpose of the meeting is to take timely decision to save the nation from the second wave of Corona and further losses. The federal and provincial governments need to take steps and strategies from now on. Use should be ensured in all cases. A briefing was given on the situation. The meeting was informed that the number of affected patients has increased as a result of the second wave of Corona internationally. The meeting was informed that as a result of the grace of God Almighty and government initiatives and strategies, the spread and damage of the epidemic in Pakistan was significantly less than in other countries. The meeting was informed that according to the statistics that have come to light in the last six weeks, Corona's disease is on the rise again. The meeting was informed that smart lockdown is being carried out in Karachi, Federal Capital Territory of Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir in the areas affected by the spread of Corona epidemic. In view of the recent statistics and in order to protect the population from the second wave of Corona, it was suggested to the meeting that all unnecessary activities which are not related to basic needs like economy and education etc. should be restricted. Steps should be taken, including a ban on public gatherings. Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the purpose of the meeting was to take timely decision making to save the nation from the second wave of Corona and further losses. He said that keeping in view the statistics of different countries, it has come to light that the risk of the spread of Corona epidemic increases in cold weather. With this in mind, the federal and provincial governments need to take action and strategies now. The Prime Minister stressed the need to ensure safety measures and the use of masks in all cases.
