In Punjab, 3,423 lecturers are being recruited for government colleges

Lahore (Commerce Reporter) Secretary Higher Education Nadeem Mehboob said on Tuesday that the Punjab government has started the process for recruitment of about 3,500 lecturers for government colleges.

In a statement, the secretary said the government has applied to the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) for the recruitment of teachers.

Nadeem Mehboob said that the vacancies would be filled in phases and the PPSC has been approached by the Education Department for recruitment of 2,691 female and 732 male lecturers in public sector colleges.

He further said that the summary of this application was given after the approval of the Chief Minister's Office.
